On November 4th, hosted by China Renewable Energy Society, organized by Shaanxi Normal University and co-organized by Photovoltaic Professional Committee of China Renewable Energy Society, Nankai University, Xi 'an Jiaotong University, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co.,Ltd. and TBEA Xinjiang Sunoasis Co., Ltd., The 29th international Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC29) and the 18th China Photovoltaic conference (CPVC18), supported by the International Copper Association Ltd., China, were grandly opened at Qujiang International Conventions Center in Xi' an. Authoritative experts and enterprise representatives from the global photovoltaic field, as well as leaders and guests from the New Energy and Renewable Energy Department of the National Energy Administration, the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the PVSEC International Advisory Committee, and IEA-PVPS, gathered hundreds of foreign scholars from the United States, Britain, The Netherlands, Spain, Russia, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland, India, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea and other dozens of countries and regions.

The international Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC) is a famous global academic conference on photovoltaic industry initiated by the PVSEC International Advisory Committee in 1984, covering photovoltaic technology, market research, promotion and application, system engineering, etc. The PVSEC, known as one of the three top photovoltaic events in the world, together with the IEEE Photovoltaic Specialist Conference and European Photovoltaic Conference.

This conference lasted for 5 days, which fully discussed and exchanged the hot issues of photovoltaic technology and the development of cutting-edge technologies. Fourteen major themes were set in the conference. 15 keynote speeches, 75 invited lectures and nearly 800 academic papers (oral reports and poster exchanges) will be presented to the participants.
