According to a report from Kazinform, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the Kazakhstan-China Investment Roundtable Meeting in Xi'an, where he engaged in discussions with senior representatives from numerous large Chinese enterprises.

President Tokayev expressed his gratitude to all the attendees of the roundtable and emphasized that the economic and trade cooperation between Kazakhstan and China has been developing rapidly and has remained largely unaffected by the current complex international economic situation.

President Tokayev stated, "According to last year's summary, the bilateral trade volume between Kazakhstan and China reached a record high of $31 billion. China is one of Kazakhstan's top five foreign investment countries, with a total investment exceeding $23 billion. Just yesterday, I had a high-level meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Together with President Xi, we had constructive exchanges of views on various issues concerning our bilateral relations and reached a series of clear agreements, signing joint documents. Overall, I am very satisfied with my state visit to China. The numerous agreements and commitments made between the two sides will significantly promote close cooperation between our countries. In Kazakhstan, many large Chinese enterprises, such as China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), CITIC Group, Zhongtai International, Sinopec, and Huawei, are operating successfully. However, we must further explore the potential of our cooperation."

At the end of the conference, under the framework of President Tokayev's state visit to China, Kazakhstan and China signed a total of 47 agreements worth over $22 billion.
