On the morning of September 16, the "China-Africa Agricultural Exchange and Cooperation Seminar on Practice and Prospects" was successfully held in Yangling. This seminar is a practical measure for Shaanxi Yangling to further advance the implementation of the "Nine Key Projects" initiative. During the seminar, leaders and experts engaged in in-depth exchanges and keynote speeches on topics such as how to deepen the exchange of practical achievements in China-Africa agricultural cooperation, learn from each other's experiences in agricultural development, and harness the resources and strengths of China-Africa agricultural cooperation and exchanges.
The China Tropical Agricultural Academy, the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (CAFS), and the Biogas Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs signed the "Agreement on Agricultural Cooperation with African Partners" with the Foreign Affairs Office and SCO Affairs Office of the Yangling Demonstration Zone via video link.
The establishment of the first batch of China-Africa Modern Agricultural Technology Exchange Demonstration and Training Joint Centers was officially announced. This initiative empowers the Yangling Demonstration Zone with an important mission in deepening China-Africa agricultural cooperation, assisting Africa in addressing food security challenges, and advancing poverty reduction efforts.
Through in-depth and effective communication during the seminar, the event facilitated the exchange of practical achievements in China-Africa agricultural cooperation, allowed for mutual learning from each other's experiences in agricultural development, and further integrated resources from various parties. It emphasized working hand in hand with African countries to complement each other’s strengths, promote mutual learning, and implement more fast-acting, livelihood-improving projects. The goal is to build the Joint Centers into "incubators" and "accelerators" for China-Africa agricultural policy dialogue, agricultural scientific research cooperation, personnel information exchange, and industrial and trade cooperation, injecting new momentum and vitality into the economic and social development of both China and Africa.

During the experience-sharing session, the heads of the first batch of China-Africa Joint Centers introduced their cooperation with African countries. Among them, the heads of the Foreign Affairs Office and SCO Affairs Office of the Yangling Demonstration Zone stated that since 2005, Yangling has organized more than 100 foreign aid training sessions on topics such as soil and water conservation, water-saving irrigation, and infrastructure construction for African countries. Over 1,500 students from more than 40 African countries have participated in these training sessions in Yangling, and more than 1,200 African students have graduated and returned to their home countries.
During the keynote speech session, representatives from the United Nations World Food Programme, the Institute of West and African Studies of the Ministry of Commerce, the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the International Development and Global Agriculture College of China Agricultural University, and the International Training Institute of China Yuan Longping High-Tech Agricultural Co., Ltd. delivered keynote reports.
